Opening ceremony of Beijing Hydrogen Park and the first Hydrogen Refueling Station for fuel cell buses in China is completed successfully on Nov.8th, 2006.

Beijing Hydrogen Park is located in Yongfeng High-tec Base in Zhongguancun District 15 km from Olympic stadium. Beijing Hydrogen Park is 13000m2 including New Energy Innovation Center and Hydrogen Education Museum, hydrogen refueling station and new energy vehicles maintenance base .

Beijing Hydrogen Park will become a demonstration base for new energy development and demonstration which will show the prospect future of the hydrogen. Hydrogen refueling station, the phase I of the hydrogen park is a part of the fuel Cell Bus Commercial Demonstration Project? which is supported by UNDP,GEF and MoST. Hydrogen refueling station together with 3 DaimlerChrysler buses is operated. At the same time, the refueling station takes the refueling responsibilities for the fuel cell buses developed by the National 863 Project. Beijing Hydrogen Park will establish relative standards and criterion, do technical and economical analysis, grasp core technology, promote the criterion and industrialization of the hydrogen infrastructure. 

Establish hydrogen fuel cell bus and hydrogen infrastructure demonstration base, technical platform and national and international communication and cooperation base in relative fields.

Spread the knowledge of the hydrogen and fuel cell bus technology, promote the public awareness of the hydrogen and show the determination in developing the clean energy resource.

In November 2004, with the support of Most and Beijing Government, the Beijing Hydrogen Park started was initiated. Phase I of Beijing Hydrogen Park started in last October. There are two phases of the Beijing Hydrogen Park .Phase I of Beijing Hydrogen Park has finished at present, phase II including New Energy Innovation Center, Hydrogen Education Museum, hydrogen producing device will be completed before 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

In the serious pollution of the environment, zero emission of the fuel cell buses technology will bring us a prospect future .Beijing Hydrogen Park is the first demonstration base for the new energy transportation .And the refueling station is the first one in China. Beijing Hydrogen Park will take an active role in achieving the Green Olympic, High-tec Olympic and will promote the development of the hydrogen and new energy transportation, utilization and demonstration in relative fields.
