Nowadays, a series of measures have been carried on to exploit vehicles with new energy in China. During the 11th five-year plan, as much as RMB 1.1 Billion will be invested on this new technology, according to “Cleanness & Energy Saving: Road of Harmonious Development between Auto Manufacturing & Green City” 2007 Forum in the 12th International Automobile & Manufacturing Technology Exhibition in Shanghai.

 

China's central government will invest more money on building platforms for technological communication of fuel cell bus drive system, hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) drive system and electric vehicle drive system, which can provide technical support for the research and development of this new kind of vehicle. The government officials will also consider the specific demand in each step of the exploitation of vehicles with new energy, such as product R&D, mass production and commercialization. Much emphasis will be put on the standardization of fuel cell bus technology, the financial support for hybrid electric vehicle and gas bus, and the construction of hydrogen fueling station.
