New Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bike Unveiled in Shanghai 2008-09-05 A new hydrogen fuel cell-powered bike developed by the Shanghai Pearl Hydrogen Source Technology Company has been unveiled in Shanghai, it has been revealed. Dr. Mathew Slin of Birmingham University had a good opinion of its performance, outlook and so on. Tian Binglun, Pearl's general manager, has made it known that Pearl Hydrogen jointly with Celimo, leader in electrical bicycle industry in China, developed finished products of fuel cell bicycles. The new bicycle enjoy advance in the features of fuel cell, the body is made of Ardal with the weight of 30 kilos and power of 20 watt. At present, this bike had applied for 19 world-wide patents in total, including 12 patents of invention, 2 foreign patents. It is reported that 20 fuel cell-powered bikes would put into operation in the upcoming 2008 Spain EXPO. |
