The 6th coordination meeting of “The Demonstration for FCB Commercialization in China” Beijing project was held on 2nd August in Beijing Public Transport Company. The representatives from Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, CICETE, Beijing Public Transport Company, Sinohytec Company, DC, BP, UNDP and PMO participated in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Ms Shenxiang from Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission. The main objectives of the meeting focused on discussing the project progress and next step work plan.

　　 Beijing PMO introduced the project progress since the fifth coordination meeting.

　　 (1) Pre-acceptation was convened on 10-16th July. A set of test results show that the 3 FCBs met the requirements according to the procurement contract. 3 FCBs were on broad in German on 27th July and will be delivered in Tianjin harbor on 11th September.

　　 (2) The fourth bus company of Beijing Public Transport Company will take responsibility of operation issues. The management mode and operational guideline have been developed.

　　 (3) Workshop is expected to finish at the end of August.

　　 (4) The initial technical requirements for training have been established.

　　 (5) The ridership survey started on middle of July. The survey report will be finished in August.

　　 CICETE recommended the preparation for custom documents requested. DC will be assistance of providing related documents. The next step work plan was made on the meeting by Beijing PMO, including final-acceptation and license plate issues, develop data system, certification of FCB, training, preparation of FCB education and dissemination.

　　 Regarding the H2 refueling station progress, the initial design and effective pictures were done. Following the construction schedule, the temporary H2 refueling system will be available in October, and the permanent H2 refueling station will be finish before March 2006. A tri-parties memorandum was suggested to be signed by Sinohytec Company, BP and AP for clarifying and dividing the tasks accurately. In addition, the portable fueling centre as the temporary H2 refueling system will be provided by BP for filling FCB in October.

　　 DC gave a presentation of CUTE project latest progress in the meeting. By August, total 33 Citaro accumulated 880,000 km, 62,000 hrs and carried dup 3000,000 passengers in European countries. When the first Citaro will stop operation in Europe, Beijing project plans to start the operation soon. It expressed that the FCB demonstration will continue to implement.

　　 Some discussions were convened in the meeting:

　　 (1) To prepare the documents of custom

　　 (2) Training: Basic training will be conducted by 10th September and professional training by October 2005.

　　 (3) Data collection system(hardware & software) will be developed at the end of August 2005. The scopes and methods of data colleted had been clarified with DC.

　　 (4) The portable fueling centre will ensure the H2 filling for FCB in October, and the construction of permanent H2 refueling station is expected to be finished before March 2006.
