The seventh coordination meeting of Beijing project was held on 20th October in Beijing Zhangjiagang Hotel. The representative from Beijing Science and Technology Commission, Beijing Public Transit Ltd, DC, Ballard, BP, SinoHytec Ltd, CICETE, and national project management office participated in the meeting. Ms. Shen Xiang from Beijing Science and Technology Commission chaired the meeting. Contents: Beijing project schedule and next work plan: (1)Three fuel cell buses arrived at Tianjin harbor in mid of September. They were delivered in Beijing in October. Fuel cell buses locate on Beijing Yongfeng bus station at the moment. (2)The construction of workshop implemented in mid of October, which involve garage, maintenance workshop and spare parts room. (3)The basic training was conducted at the beginning of September for drivers, maintenance workers, operational managers and relative government agencies with approximately total 40 people. The basic training focused on FC knowledge and technological introduction, security education etc. The professional training for drivers and maintenance workers will be carried out in November when the temporary filling station can supply hydrogen for the buses. (4)Two after-sale service engineers from DC and Ballard respectively arrived at Beijing at the beginning of September, who will take responsibility for three fuel cell buses maintenance in the coming two years. (5)The data collection system was complemented at the end of September. The next work plan emphases on bus final-acceptation, license plate application, handover ceremony and the construction of temporary filling station etc. The hydrogen refueling station schedule was updated by SinoHytec Ltd and BP (1) Temporary filling equipments were delivered in Tianjin harbor at the end of September. The custom clearness issues are conduced now. (2) The Construction of permanent hydrogen refueling station started on 16th October. It is expected to complete before March 2006. In addition, hydrogen will be generated off-site by means of water electrolysis and transported with tube trailers at the beginning of November.
