The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has agreed with the Government of the People’s Republic of China to carry out this project. The Ministry of Science and Technology of China shall act as the implementing agency of the Chinese government, and shall be represented in requesting for the procurement Proposals and contractual matters connected with the project procurement by China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges (hereinafter referred to as CICETE) with address below.

 

CICETE now invites sealed Proposals from eligible Offerors for the following vehicles:

Item: Hybrid Fuel Cell Bus

 

Details and specifications will be provided in the REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (hereinafter referred to as RFP) for Hybrid Fuel Cell Bus. Interested Offerors may obtain the more information form CICETE and can view and buy the RFP documents at the address below from 09:30 to 11:00 a.m. and 13:30 to 16:00 p.m. (Beijing time) on working days from August 7 to September 13, 2008.

 

An eligible Offeror’s identity will be confirmed and accepted by CICETE, only on the condition that the Offeror has submitted a written application to CICETE at the address below indicating its willingness to participate, passed the pre-qualification procedure and bought the RFP Documents.

 

The RFP document issued in English shall be purchased by the qualified Offerors by the payment of a nonrefundable fee of RMB 5,000.00 or USD720.00. Payment can be made by cash, cash check or direct deposit to CICETE’s account. The RFP document may be delivered to the qualified Chinese Offerors by courier for additional fee of RMB 100.00, and to the qualified international Offerors for RMB 600.00 or USD87.00. No liability shall be accepted by CICETE for loss or late delivery.

 

Sealed Proposals will be received by CICETE at below address before 10:00 a.m. on October 7, 2008 (Beijing time), and then be evaluated from October 8 to October 14 in Beijing. And each of the Offerors who have successfully submitted their Proposals shall be well prepared in advance for the possibility to be requested by CICETE to further introduce its Proposal and negotiate the contractual clauses. CICETE shall not take the responsibility for any costs or expenses incurred to the qualified Offerors for Proposal preparation and delivery.
